Madron Parish expect to be in receipt of a sum of money within the next few months to be used for local projects. Previously this has amounted to £5000.00 but in the present financial climate this sum cannot be guaranteed this year.
In previous years this money has been used to re-surface The Green at Madron, provide playing equipment and renovations to the Playing Field and their pavilion at Madron, finance a new kitchen at Madron Methodist Church, provide a new score box/scoreboard, store and practice wicket for Gulval Cricket Club, assist with kitchen renovations at Gulval Village Hall, create a garden and other projects at Trythall School and help for the repair of the lychgate at St Maddern Church.
In anticipation of this funding being received again this year applications are invited for community related projects. These applications must provide evidence of full detail of the work required and all costs involved, supported by paper evidence. The project must be completed and all invoices paid within the current financial year.
Any organisation wishing to take advantage of this funding should submit their applications to the clerk, Wib Wilkins, at the above address On receipt of the confirmation of the grant he clerk will put these applications, with any follow up enquiries he has made, before a full meeting of Madron Parish Council for the councillors to decide on the distribution of any grant money received.
