5. Police Report for March 2015
Clerk informed the meeting that the report for March had not been received for the meeting on 2nd April as PC Thomas had been on leave but it has now arrived. Just one crime had been reported during the month as opposed to two in March 2014. This was a report of a burglary to an insecure shed at a property in Church Road, Madron between 23rd and 25th March when cat food was stolen. Any information is requested by dialling 101 quoting the crime number CR 020242/15
6. Chairman’s Comments
Chairman reported that this meeting had been called as the clerk had been unsuccessful in obtaining an extension to the planning application in item 9 as a decision had to be made before the next meeting on 7th May and she thought that the application warranted discussion.
7. Councillors’ Questions and Comments
Cllr Pritchard commented on the email from Cornwall Council which had been received today concerning highway maintenance and inspections and review of traffic signs. The main point was that planned inspections would take place once per year as opposed to every six months previously but there will be no change in safety led inspections. Any comments should be made within seven days. Although no comments were necessary from this council, as parish councils only meet on a monthly basis this short period of response time was
unacceptable and the clerk was instructed to pass this view back to Cornwall Council.

8. Comments from Cornwall Councillors
Cornwall Cllr Mann reported that there were issues on the Penzance Town Neighbourhood Plan which affected Marazion, Ludgvan and Madron Parishes. In view of this a meeting will be held at 2pm on Wednesday 29th April at the Board Room at St Clare and it is requested that two representatives from each of the three parishes concerned attend in order that these matters can be explained and discussed. Cllrs Peake and Eddy agreed to attend.
