Council Services & Amenities
Pavilion and Sports Ground
The King George V Playing Field, the Sports Pavilion, and the Children’s Play Area are managed by the Parish Council, who act as the trustee for the land.
The Council is also responsible for the maintenance of these facilities and the cutting of the field and play area.
Defibrilators
The Council provide and maintain three defibrilators:
King George V Playing Field, on the Pavilion, Aldreath Road, Madron
Landithy Main Hall, Church Road, Madron, Penzance
Trythall community primary school, Newmill, Penzance
Street Furniture
The Council provide four parish notice boards and two dog litter bins, and is responsible for the bin emptying.
Public Rights Of Way
The Council contracts for the cutting of footpaths and bridleways across the parish, based on a grading system of gold, silver or bronze standard paths.
Gold paths requiring 1 cut per year total approximately 210 metres in length, gold requiring 2 cuts per year total approximately 9053 metres in length, stiles and gates requiring 1 cut are judged at one, and those requiring 2 cuts per year at 73.
The Parish Council may alter the cutting requirements at its own discretion, either within the LMP budget or by providing additional funding from its own resources.
The Green
The Council own the small green triangle of land adjacent to the memorial garden.
Parish Church Churchyard
The Council is responsible for cutting the churchyard.
Roadside Weed Control
The Council is responsible arranging for the roadside weed control
